RESPECT:
Respect is the ground rule for ALL our events, public or private:
- Respect for the event.
- Respect for the organizers.
- Respect for the venue.
- Respect for personal boundaries of the other members.
Our meetup is NOT here as a place to solicit or 'pick up' any of your fellow members. This includes following home, asking for phone numbers, etc. If you feel a burning need to meet someone outside of the context of a game, there are many 'singles' Meetups for you to use.
We do not tolerate racist, sexist, or homophobic jokes or slurs at any of our events or on forum discussions, whether or not these remarks are directed at our own members. Likewise, if a GM is looking to include racism or mature themes in a game, they are expected to talk with the group first to make sure that everyone has the same expectations and comfort levels. No exceptions.
Respect for other participants and hosts is essential. It is every member's responsibility to make this an open and fun community for all. Disruptive, disrespectful, heavily intoxicated, anti-social behaviours will not be tolerated.
All members are also expected to take responsibility for ensuring that any food, drink or other items purchased at an establishment are paid for prior to leaving the event.
If you can't abide by these, we reserve the right to expel immediately you from the group without warning. Warnings may be issued first if organizers think the situation may be remedied, but are a courtesy only. Contact the Organizer if you feel you have been expelled unfairly.
ACTIVE STATUS
The Meetup.com system will deem you to be an 'inactive' member if you don't visit the TAG website at least once every six months. To ensure that our membership numbers are accurate, we routinely delete members tagged 'inactive' by meetup.
Please take a few seconds each month to check out the message boards, or sneak a peek at our calendar. That alone will ensure that your membership remains active.
We will send warning e-mails at the three-months of inactivity and again at six-months of inactivity. The second warning will come one week before your membership is deleted.
RSVP POLICY
To recognize the work that goes into organizing an event, as well as the interest in many events that produces waiting lists we ask all members to be respectful of their RSVP’s by showing up, or giving appropriate notice if you cannot make an event you have RSVP’d yes to.
3 STRIKES POLICY
If you RSVP “YES” for an event and do not show up, or cancel your RSVP with less than 24-hours notice you will be issued a strike for ‘no-show’. Any member who accumulates 3 strikes in a one year period will be asked to leave the group.
Life happens, and you may find yourself in a situation where you must change your RSVP less than 24 hours in advance or ‘no-show’ to an event. We ask that you make every effort to contact your host and Sandy (organizer) in advance of the event to let them know what has happened. You can do this by using the e-mail system built into meetup.com. If you do not have an opportunity to contact your host and the organizer in advance of the event please do so no more than 3-business days later. Respect will go a long way to avoiding strikes.
You will not get a strike if:
- You RSVP "Maybe" to an event and you do not show
- You change your RSVP more than 24 hours in advance of an event
- You and your host reach a mutual agreement to ask not to have the strike applied.
BAD BEHAVIOUR
If you attend an event and are disruptive, disrespectful, heavily intoxicated, make it difficult for other players to enjoy the event, or do not pay your bill you may be asked to leave the group immediately. Likewise, disruptive, rude, or negative behavior on any of our forums will be treated in the same manner.
